arts. Susan would like to include this information with our strategic plan.
ACADEMIC ADVISER SURVEY:
The Academic Adviser Survey
received from Mary Pat Hager, Chair of the Advising Committee was distributed
at the meeting. “The survey was created in an effort to assist faculty in
evaluating their own advising and/or in gathering data to be included in faculty
portfolios. The survey is strictly voluntary and is merely a tool for faculty
to solicit student feedback.” The committee welcomes feedback on this pilot
program.
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY:
Please contact Toni Moran if
you would like a committee representative to come and speak at your department
meeting regarding academic integrity.
BUDGET & SWING SPACE
(new building):
Paul Altieri announced that
bond money is now available to start the plans for the new classroom building. The
new swing space building will be connected to Barnard Hall and will be approx.
75,000 square feet. Everyone from Willard will move temporarily to the new swing
space building and then moved back once Willard has been renovated. Then everyone
from Diloreto will move permanently to the new swing building. Eventually
Willard and Diloreto will be connected. The whole process should take about 6
or 7 years.
The designer will submit the
design plans by mid January. The designer will eventually contact the six departments
involved. Paul requested that chairs involved have 4 or 5 people from each department
meet with the designer to come up with a temporary and permanent design. Also,
please send Paul a list of all faculty/employees in your area along with room
numbers. The designers will need to look at our present space, new space needs,
shared space, and conference room space.
Paul distributed a report on
cost per credit hour regarding cost for last year. The report lists OE,
personnel expenses, and number of load credits. The report does not include
bond money or computer equipment.
OTHER:
Central College: You may send any student advising suggestions for Central College to
Stephen Adair.
You may contact Serafin
Mendez-Mendez about bringing good minority candidates to campus and for
assistance with possible funds for searches.

try to attend open forums and provide feedback to Karen Beyard. Dates and time
should be coming soon.
