Planetarium Show:
Thank you to Ali Antar, Harry
Hiesinger, Kristine Larsen, and Craig Robinson for the planetarium show
presentation, which we enjoyed greatly. Thank you for making our last semester
meeting special and memorable.
Introduction of Mary Horan:
Mary Horan has joined the
School of Arts & Sciences as an academic counselor. Mary will assist Rick,
Paul and Stephen with course substitutions, probation, withdrawals, etc.
Academic Advising:
Rick Roth: Academic advising
will be held from 11-12:00 p.m. on January 4 for first year students and
on January 13 for transfer students. Rick will get back to you with the
location.
This time we would like to
try something new and have group advising by majors for first-year students. Someone
from the Arts, Sciences, and Social Sciences would be needed for the groupings.
Please think about who might represent your department and get back to Rick.
Graduate Assistant Forms:
Graduate assistant forms are
done in two stages. First, send the request form for budget approval to Paul
as soon as possible. Once Paul has approved, GA form will be sent to Paulette
Lemma. You can send your GA appointment form once you identify the student and
have the required supporting data.
Travel Budget:
Paul: Faculty may still use AAUP
money. Continue to send travel requests to Arts & Sciences and we will
cover the balance if we can. Grant money has not been affected by recent
travel budget constraints. If faculty have travel plans, they should forward their
forms to us.
We wish you happy holidays.
