Motion (S. Mendez-Mendez/T. Shine) to pass a resolution to submit Elene Demos’ name to President Judd and Chancellor Cibes in nomination for the position of Interim Provost for two years, so that functions of the University may continue normally.  Approved.

After discussion and recommendation from the Council of Chairs, the Deans would like to meet with small groups of members from the COC to discuss topics such as facility issues, faculty issues, advising issues, scheduling issues, re-evaluation of the role of chairperson, what is expected of the DEC, and how to handle the bad citizen, etc.  Michelle will contact you regarding meeting times.  Also, a discussion ensued regarding the possibility of having regular informational meetings with Arts & Sciences faculty members.
