Mary Helena Saraceno, a graduate assistant
and graduate student of Italian and Spanish, has been selected as a
participant in an educational program that will take her to Italy for
ten days. The itinerary includes visits to the universities of Rome,
Siena and Perugia, sessions on the mass media, literature, film and
pedagogy, as well as social activities such as concerts, cooking
laboratory and theatre. It is co-sponsored by the Italian Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, the National Italian American Foundation, and the
Italian public TV service RAI.
Mary will be representing CCSU among the
other ten participants who include graduate students from Harvard,
Rutgers and Georgetown University, Boston College. The Modern Language
Department and the entire School of Arts and Sciences wish
congratulating Mary for this recognition of her academic merits.
